Volunteer Code Works ("we", "us") builds apps and software in Tennessee, USA. We collect as little information as we can. This policy covers this website and our apps. Where an app's own policy differs, its section below says so.
This website
- No accounts, ads or tracking. The site uses no analytics or advertising cookies.
- Contact form. When you send a message, the name, email address, topic and message you enter are emailed to us so we can reply. We don't sell or share them, and we don't add you to a mailing list. We keep messages only as long as we need them to help you.
- Spam protection. To limit abuse, the form keeps a short-lived, one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) for up to an hour.
- Hosting. Our web host, Bluehost, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and operations.
- Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers. See Google's privacy policy.
Road Trip Trivia
- The game runs entirely on your device and works offline. It has no accounts and no ads, and it collects no personal information.
- Player names, chosen cars, game settings and the list of questions already played are saved only on your device, so you don't get repeats. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
- The app doesn't use your microphone, camera, contacts or location.
- If in-app purchases are added for extra question packs, payments will be handled by Google Play (or Apple's App Store) under their policies. We never see your payment details.
Encore
- Encore asks for permission to read the music files on your phone so it can list and play your songs. It reads song details (such as title, artist, album and file location) from your device's media library.
- Your venues, playlists, visit dates and settings are stored only on your device. Encore has no accounts and sends none of this to us or anyone else.
- Backups and exported playlist files are created only when you choose to make one, and they are saved or shared wherever you pick.
- Encore doesn't use your microphone, camera, contacts or location.
Children
Our apps don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Road Trip Trivia is designed for families and stores nothing off the device.
Custom software we build for clients
Software we build for a business or organization is governed by that client's own privacy policy and our agreement with them.
